IMTECH recruits 13 (Thirteen) Project Assistants L-II

on purely temporary basis to work in different R&D Projects in various areas of the biological sciences, such as Protein Science & Engineering, Infectious Diseases & Immunity, Microbial Physiology & Genetics, Biotransformations & Microbiology and Fermentative Science & Process Development.

Project No.1:-

Twelve Project Assistants (Level-II) for CSIR Network Programme entitled “Exploitation of India’s Rich Microbial Diversity”

Essential Qualification:- Ist Class M.Sc. in any area of Modern Biology/Life Sciences/Chemistry/Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Biophysics/Microbiology / Molecular Biology/Botany/ Zoology.

Stipend:- Rs.10,000/- p.m ( fixed).

Note for Project No.1:-

• Candidates with Ist Class M.Sc. in above subjects, having two years of relevant research experience may be placed in Level-III @ Rs.12,000/- p.m. (fixed).

• Candidates with Ph.D. in above subjects may be placed in Level-IV @ Rs.15,000/- p.m. (fixed).

• Higher start may be considered for candidates who have cleared at least UGC-CSIR lectureship (NET). In such cases emoluments may be fixed after adding 10% to the fixed consolidated emoluments.

Project No.2:-

One Project Assistant (Level-II) for DBT Sponsored Project entitled “Adaptation of bacteria capable of degrading chlorinated nitrophenols; biochemical and molecular studies”

Essential Qualification:- Ist Class M.Sc. in any area of Modern Biology/Life Sciences/ Chemistry / Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Biophysics/ Microbiology / Molecular Biology/Botany/ Zoology.

Stipend:- Rs.10,000/- p.m ( fixed).

Desirable:- Practical research experience in the areas mentioned above.

Age Limit as on 07.07.2008 (on the date of walk-in-interview) :-

Not exceeding 28 years (Relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped as per GOI rules).

Such of the candidates who fulfills the eligibility conditions may please walk in for interview on 07.07.2008 (Monday) at 09.30 A.M in the Seminar Hall of this Institute along with complete bio-data & original certificates together with latest passport size photograph and also enclosing photocopies of certificates/testimonials in support of date of birth, qualifications etc.

No TA will be paid for attending the interview.
