hey mahe, come on man... just check out their placement details for the past 3 years... if its good, then juz goto college and ask them
about their current recruiters for MBA... if you still don't feel good to join there and hit hard next year dude... also, don't worry for
wasting an year.. do you know this year in Anna univ a person joined by the age of 40... so, age doesn't matter.... if you gonna try next
year, then don't be idle in this 1 year break... goto any sales or marketing kinda job or the job according to ur qualification so tat u can
add that in ur resume.... think wise before you move to the next step

CIT is good yaar... but its not a good in the case of B-School... its good for Engineering and tech stuffs.... really you have chances to get
seat in Velammal and SONA (if I am not wrong)...so, don't worry.....SONA is also not a B-School...but they are doing good for MBA too
in my case, my aim is to do MBA in a B-School in TN...but due to pressure from some of my relatives my mom asked me to do MCA and I

after a lot of tension i selected sa engineering chennai on august 2 of 2 pm batch.
only saveetha 4,arunai 4 ,kca-4 only available in average colleges.. all other good colleges i expected are full...
all engineering college seats in chennai & kovai fulled at 2nd august my batch (2pm)
only other engineering colleges r still vacant (90%).. but all are waste colleges..
By god's grace only i get into sa engineering college chennai..... is tat good college, good in placement?

like Jeppiar so I suggest you have greater focus on your course and cling on to one of those companies which would be visiting the

Priya you can definitely look at SSn as an option. In fact days are not very far when SSN would be considered on parwith PSG,TCE etc.
You cna consider St. Josephs or Jeppiar as the next option

Abt PSG i think if u have luck u can... SSN is too nice option for u....
u can keep an eye on Panimalar engg too..
All the above 3 colleges have 100% placement acc. to my knowledge...
I can assure one seat in any of the above colleges.... These are the most trusted colleges these days!!!

After a lot of tension and a little luck, I got a seat in RMD Engineering College, Kavaraipettai, Near Gumpundipoondi, Chennai...
Really it was very bad situation this time compared to last time counselling...
Colleges which i have listed above for my last year counselling have also been filled this year on 2nd day itself,,, If needed i can put
the college names...
I thought of getting SVCE, Hindustan, Valliammai, St Peters but these too got filled before my batch itself....
Atlast i had to choose between RMD (2), Vel Tech (2), Saveetha, Prathyusha, Madha, Raja Rajeswari, Thangavelu etc...
I wl put a detailed list abt this later here...
Me really feeling sad for the people who are attending the counselling from now....

For all ur info pls forget about Anna university campus... The counselling for MBA MCA seats has been over there.... So, that
campus will not come in GCT counselling....
Similalarly, Colleges like PSG, Panimalar, SSN are well known to all students from rank 1 to rank 1234 etc... so they are the first
choice of every student... So, forget abtout those colleges now...
As MCA counselling is going to start from Monday.. All the best to all who are attending it...

PSG tech has an annual intake of 150 seats in MBA and I think out of this around 40 seats would be for OC. SO you can easi;y walk into
PSG. Further your chances are higher as most of the guys ranked before you would hv opted for Anna University CEG. I would also
suggest you to look at SSN College Chennai which has good placements as well.

The rank can be known only during counselling only...
You can know ur rank wen u apply for counselling and when u get a intimation letter for attending counselling

Those who get good ranks choose the best one and the next college etc...
For eg, PSG wl be the first college to be choosed followed by SSN, Panimalar, SVCE etc....

Then after notification of counselling, You wl get notification regarding counselling and another rank as per counselling.
As per till date, No notification has been isseud.. Wl be out in few days as scores have came out know..
Anyhow, U can expect General counselling for MCA in Aug 1st week followed by MBA counselling.

For anyone, V can tell colleges for their scores but only guesses can be made at this moment da.. As v can't predict how wl be the counselling be... Last year till 31 only good colleges are there and were choosed... After that only available colleges were choosed based on the college name..

General counselling is the counselling which helds at GCT Campus, Coimbatore for all colleges which takes MCA MBA students through Single Window System. Colleges include all engineering and Arts colleges in Tamil Nadu.
The notification for counselling will come out soon.
Last year, This counselling was held in the month of August.

30 is a good score dear... It s cool that u r interested in Panimalar, Vellamal, St Josephs, Hindusthan but these are first preferences for higher marks than ur score. If u r luck u can get any one but Paimalar, Cant Say, As it wl be choosed earlier itself.
I think you are interested in ARTS colleges too, My advice is to you, If u get into an Engg college, you can have much standards than these colleges, U wl have more facilities too...
But i can assure you that u can get a good college for ur score with ample facilities like Placements, etc...

In Chennai, they are being given in Presedency College and CPT, Tharamani Campus.
The cost of the form is Rs 300. The form shd reach to GCT, Coimbatore on r before 18th JUNE 2008.

Krish, I think I made a mistake while shading the reg no: in the OMR sheet. I put the first digit outside the box and the next 6 in the boxes. But I shaded in the empty space straight below the 1st number (which was 8) in line with the other numbers. Will my application be rejected because of this? My friends are saying that any unnecessary marks or shadings should not be done on the OMR sheet. Shall i send another application? Pl help me yaar.

tancet regn number contains 7 digits but omr sheet has provision for 6 only. so i have written one digit outside and shaded an epty space corresponding to the required number. i guess most of them might have faced this problem. but i dunno if i have done the right thing.. keping fingers crossed

thank you for your nice and kind reply. since you are doing MCA and have gone thru' these processes already strongly, with a good experience, you would know abt the current status of the following,
1. the infrastructure of campuses at present.
2. and the placement opportunities in it.
so if you don't mind and if I am not bothering you, please name me atleast 5 colleges/institutes WHICH I CAN GET with my TANCET-MCA score (35) and the category (BC). since it would be very helpful before I go for counseling and straight away select the college there in the list. if I am not getting any of that colleges there, it's absolutely fine for me and I can go for other colleges with the knowledge which I have already got from ur blog.
u had mentioned abt the colleges how it got filled last year. but it would be nice to hear from u which r the good ones for me with the current knowledge of urs and the current status of the campuses. PLEASE DON'T FORGET THAT I WOULD PREFER TO JOIN IN A CHENNAI BASED COLLEGE.

The basic tution fees for all colleges is 25000 by counselling for engg colleges... Last year including all fees [ to college] i paid 70000 for my first MCA [Thro counselling]
