The main thing is that OTHER STATE CANDIDATES are not eligible through TANCET.

Hope you are the first one to see the blog this year.
Coming to TANCET, Congrats for writing the entrance exam successfully.
What ever be the no of seats alloted to each college, Half will be for Counselling. If the no of seats are 60, 30 will be for counselling.
For anna university, u can check in anna univ site isefelf.
To get into Anna univ u must be one of the top 70 candidates, as it will be the first college to be opted.
Notification will come for applying to counselling same as like entrance exam.
General counselling means, there will be minimum 2 counsellings - one each for anna university and another for rest of colleges.
Hope the details helped u a bit i suppose.

22.400 for MBA is ok. U can get few top colleges and other colleges. For ME, 22.434 is ok but u cant get top colleges.

Hi...Krish, my name too krish only.... I got 19.5 in MCA Tancet OC is there any chance for getting average engineering college in coimbatore? I feel bad abt this mark i expected around 30. i wrote 6 mock test my average was 28.25 i was surprised by seeing this mark. parents keep scolding i think i will get only arts college in coimbatore.

U will have good options for chooseing your college but wait till the rank list comes out..

19.5 is not a bad score for TANCET MCA.
U can get engineering college but u have to wait with patience. Dont worry, u wl have good list of colleges to choose. If not coimbatore, try to see in other cities like chennai, madurai.
Why feel bad? Nothing so, Over is over. Try oto join in a college and prove ypurself now. Stil there is lot more to go.

Ya u can verify the un-official list, but keep it as a option alone.
For 19.5, u cant get 947. anyhow, if it so, u can get into top college of ur choice..

My seniors said TANCET is not suitable for OC category unless i score above 40. No prob's asking me questions. Ask me as many as u need. I just created this blog to clear the doubts only. Bcos for my counseling i cant find anyone. So, i am doing as much as i can. This is the 4th counselling, i am helping a few with my little knowledge.
which senior said TANCET is not suitable for OC category?? For ur info, I'm OC with 31.333 marks and got a good college - RMD, Chennai on the 3rd day end in 2007. Years Later, Top colleges where been filled in first 2 to 3 days itself.
Also, the marks are also getting decreased. So there is nothing in getting worried. Wait till ur turn comes in counseling. Sure, i am here for u to help any time.

I thnk he might have his mark sheet which has came now. So enclose it. Just talk with univ reg this wen submitting the form.

I think, to join thru TANCA or TANCET, U shd be a TN resident or u shd have nativity cetificate.

Here the replies for u:
1. There is nothing like rank and all.. It is the order in which the coll's get filled. The order i gave was acc to it and students too see like that.
2. There is nothing like next and all.. Reg Madras Univ, it is good. As for as i'm concerned, options will be more when u join in a engineering college rather than a arts college.
3. The percentage of fillin goes like this:
Total no of seats = half to counselling + half to management
In the half of counselling = it wl be divided into groups, of that, OC gets 30 % which is open to all.
4. 44.6 ?? Wow.. Congrats Saradha, u can get into top college. Sure u can get into any of the top 3 in chennai. Wher u r int to join ??

Any college u will opt is a good one only. It differs from the coll environment, teaching, placements etc..
Ofcourse, wat u said abt PSG is correct.
See, There will be over all ranking and community ranking.
OC gets over all rank alone.
So, u will have only one option. But other candidates, have two option: over all or community rank.
Here only lies the difference.

There is nothing like rank for OC to get A PARTICULAR SEAT in a college. It is the availability of seats remaining.
If u have a good score, u have a upper hand in choosing the college.

Reg ur query, All engineering colleges affiliated to Anna University in TN and Arts colleges affiliated to Madras University in TN will come under TANCET counselling.

I think anna university released the cut off list and u r eligible to attend anna university campus conselling itself if u applied before.
Sure u r eligible in getting into one of the few top colleges.

I m first day third batch. got MCA seat in SREC Sri RamaKrishna Engineering. coimbatore.
First batch PSG over
second batch CIT, SSN, Kumaraguru and other district colleges over
In my 12:00 noon batch(third) started at 2:30 only in my batch OC seat for krishna over just before my turn and 5 bc seats were there. So krishna over in third batch. From next i don't know.
Due to family situation i have to choose college in coimbatore itself. That's y i choosed SREC - its autonomous and good for MCA.
This time high demand for coimbatore colleges due to tidel park opening.
totally 9 colleges oc and bc seats over in tamilnadu, in that 4 colleges were coimbatore colleges.
this counselling high preference is given to cbe
Usually PSG, CIT will be given first preference and second preference given to other district colleges and then Kumaraguru and krishna.
But this time Kumaraguru and Krishna got over by second and third batch. I just missed krishna engineering.
At the end of third batch (first day)
many colleges like jeppiar, panimalar, kongu, bannari amman, segunthar, etc OC and BC seats were available.
But 4 good colleges over in coimbatore.
So for MCA in engineering top 4 colleges are in coimbatore only next comes SSN
My ADVICE....!
if u are about to get good colleges, be ready to study from outside home. I mean be ready to study anywhere in tamil nadu in case of TANCET.
U may miss top 5 colleges in your district in such case try to get into top 6th 0r 7th college which may be far away from your home.
So finally don't restrict your options by giving importance to particular place.

There is no CUT OFF calculation for TANCET.
Eachone will be considered with the TANCET marks and not UG marks.
There is nothing like average marks. It will differ from year to year.
IF you get 30 plus, i'm sure you can be in one of the TOP colleges in TN
