Osmania University

Applications are invited for the following position in DST, New Delhi sponsored research project entitled “Transfer of traits for salinity tolerance from Leptochloa fusca (kallar grass) to Oryza sativa (rice) -A non conventional strategy”.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) - One

Qualifications

M. Sc. in Genetics, Biotechnology or Life Sciences with knowledge in plant biotechnology and molecular biology are encouraged to apply. Candidates who have done PG level project research work on plant tissue culture will be given preference.


Truly interested candidates fulfilling the above requirements shall only apply in the prescribed application forms obtained from the Osmania University Press. Completed application form along with a DD of Rs 10/- in favor of Registrar, Osmania University accompanied by CV, research experience and Xeroxed attested copies of certificates should reach to the address given bellow on or before August 11, 2008. No TA or DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview and selection is subjected to the Osmania University rules.


Note: The position is purely temporary and it is up to the duration of the project two years only (likely to be extended depending on the progress of the project). The selected candidate can have the opportunity to register for Ph. D. degree.
