Applications are invited upto 28^th July, 2008 for the following posts in the Research Programme entitled, “Validation Laboratory for Nutritional Assessment of North East and other Inaccessible Population” at ICMR Campus-II, 3^rd Red Cross Road , Near Parliament House, New Delhi

POST No. 1

Research Scientist I – (Four) One post reserved for OBC at a fixed salary of Rs. 14,800/- + HRA p.m. (Non-Medical).

Qualifications- 1^{st .}class M.Sc. (Food Nutrition/Child Development/Analytical Chemistry/Life Science).

Nature of Duties- To undertake laboratory work and to assist in coordination of Project.

Desirable : Experience in handling equipments like ICPMS, HPLC Autoanalyzer and Immulite.

POST No. 2

Programme Associate – (Four) One post reserved for OBC at a fixed salary of Rs. 12,034/- p.m.

Qualifications- M.Sc. (Food Nutrition/Child Development/Analytical Chemistry/Life Science).

Nature of Duties- To undertake laboratory work and assist in coordination of project.

Desirable: Experience in handling equipments like ICPMS, HPLC Autoanalyzer and Immulite.

POST No. 3

Data Entry Operator-cum-Assistant – (Four) One post reserved for OBC at a fixed salary of Rs.8,325/- p.m.

Qualifications- Graduate with knowledge of data entry work.

Nature of Duties- Entry of data and to assist in office related work.

Desirable- Experience in data entry and office related work.

POST No. 4

Lab. Technician – (Four) One post reserved for OBC at a fixed salary of Rs. 7,400/- p.m.

Qualifications- B.Sc./Intermediated with DMLT from recognized University/Board.

Nature of Duties- To assist in analytical work in Laboratory.

Desirable : One year experience in the laboratory work.

POST No.5

Lab. Attendant – (Two) at a fixed salary of Rs. 5,090/- p.m.

Qualifications- Matriculation.

Nature of Duties- To assist in the laboratory work.

Desirable- One year experience in Laboratory or related work.

POST No. 6

Peon-cum-Helper – (Two) at a fixed salary of Rs. 4,726/- p.m. fixed.

Qualifications- Middle pass. Knowledge in reading and writing at least one Regional language.

Age:

Below 35 years for Post No. 1 & 2, below 28 years for Post No. 3 to 5 and below 25 years for Post No. 6. SC/ST/OBC and departmental candidates are allowed relaxation in accordance with the Govt. of India Rules, in force.

Application on the plain paper in the following format duly completed together with crossed IPO of Rs. 25/- drawn in favour of D.G., ICMR, New Delhi should be sent to Senior Administrative Officer, Indian Council of Medical Research, ICMR Campus-II, Tuberculosis Association of India Building, 1^st Floor, 3 Red Cross Road, Near Parliament House, New Delhi-110 001. SC/ST and Council’s employees are exempted from this payment. Incomplete and late applications will not be entertained. Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidates or to bring political or other outside influence with regard to selection/recruitment shall be disqualification. The attested copies of certificate in support of age, educational qualifications, caste, experience should also be sent.

The total duration of the project is two years.

The appointment is terminable with One month notice from either side without assigning any reason. Since the project is purely temporary, the incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointments under ICMR or continuation of his/her services in any other project. No benefit of Provident Fund, HRA, CCA, Leave Travel Concession, Medical Claim etc. No TA/DA etc. will be given for attending the interview.
